That said, we have most of the assets already done, and we're trying to have the script wrapped up within the next 3 months.

Neither do we! :D That's why our games are commercial. Even if you don't think the time and energy we put into our games are worth the price, we still need to pay for assets and licenses, so it's currently impossible for us to offer the game for free.
